Release Date:

February 28, 2017

Synopsis:

One kiss can change everything.

Fun and flirty Monica Stevens lives for chocolate, fashion, and boys … in that order. And she doesn’t take life too seriously, especially when it comes to dating. When a night of innocent banter with Seattle’s hottest NFL quarterback turns passionate, she fears that everything she once managed to protect will soon be destroyed.

Seattle’s most eligible bachelor, Zachary Ryan, is a workaholic by nature, an undercover entrepreneur, and passionate about the organizations he supports. He’s also addicted to Monica, the curvy brunette with a sassy mouth—and not just because she tastes like strawberries and chocolate. She’s as challenging as she is decadent, as witty as she is charming, and she’s the perfect distraction from the daily grind.

While Monica comes to a crossroads in her life, Zachary becomes an unavoidable obstacle, forcing her to stop hiding under the bleachers and confront the demons of her past. But as their connection grows stronger, she knows it only brings them closer to their end.

It’s time to let go.

To have a future, we must first deal with our pasts. But what if the two are connected?

My Rating:

My Review:

K.K. Allen has blown me away with this book. I did not think she could top Up In The Treehouse, but Under The Bleachers is equally as enjoyable! I am not a fan of sports in any way, shape, or form and this book absolutely held my attention, thanks to its character driven plot and the extremely likable personalities of the two MCs. Bleachers deals with scars. Scars can be caused by so many things; absent fathers, childhood bullies, self-doubt, and guilt. Healing takes time, and sometimes it takes a very special person to make you realize that those scars make you beautiful. They are reminders that you have lived, after all. That you survived to tell the tale. The tale of Under the Bleachers is a magnificent journey inward to find one’s true self and to let it flourish. Zachary Ryan brings out the best in Monica, he sets her passions in motion and gives her the courage and the confidence to go after a dream she didn’t even realize she had. There is also some great background content with our favorite couple from Up In The Treehouse! This book deserves so much more than 5 stars. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a well-written love story that deals with real life fears and obstacles.
